First-up win in juniors
Aussie teenagers Bernard Tomic and Olivia Rogowska have both won their first round matches in the French Open Junior Championships at Roland Garros overnight.
The No.2 seeded Tomic rebounded from a disappointing first round loss to Phillip Kohlschreiber in the main draw with a resounding straight sets win over Andrei Vasilevsi of Belarus.
The Australian broke his opponent three times during the match to record a 6-4 6-2 victory in under one hour.
Rogowska, who last week won her first round main draw match against Maria Kirilenko, also began her junior campaign in style with a comfortable 6-4 6-2 win.
The twelfth seed converted five of her six break points during the match while also managing to save 12 break opportunities on her serve.
Fellow Aussie Isabella Holland went down in her first round match to Russian Yana Buchina 6-4 6-2.
