Stepping up a gear

Bernard Tomic has cruised into the third round of the Wimbledon Boys’ Singles with a straight sets win over Indian Sudarwa Sitaram at the All England Club today.
The Australian No.3 seed turned in a dominant display, which included eight aces and 22 winners, to seal the match 6-2 6-2 in just 42 minutes.
After struggling with a virus before his first round match, the teenager looked to have benefited from a two-day break between matches.
The win moves Tomic another step closer to claiming his second Junior Grand Slam title after he won the Australian Open Boys’ Singles in 2008.
He next faces unseeded Brit Tom Farquharson for a spot in the quarterfinals.
