Tomic downed by Tsonga

Australian Bernard Tomic has been beaten by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga as the Frenchman earned another chance to down Roger Federer at the ATP Montreal Masters.

Wimbledon quarterfinalist Tomic had his moments against the former Australian Open runner-up but Tsonga’s power game proved to much as he locked in a 6-3 7-6(1) victory.

Former world No.1 Federer eased to a 7-5 6-3 defeat of Canadian wild card Vasek Pospisil to move into the third round where he’ll face Tsonga.
